Fender Squier Affinity Series Precision Bass PJ LRL BPG Lake Placid Blue Електрична бас-гітара

Squier Affinity Series Precision Bass PJ — Classic Fender P-Bass Tone, Beginner-Friendly Build

This model in Lake Placid Blue brings the iconic Fender P-Bass silhouette into a price range that welcomes first-time buyers. Behind the classic look sits a thin poplar body, a slim "C"-shaped bolt-on maple neck, and an Indian Laurel fingerboard. The PJ pickup combination gives this instrument a tonal range beyond a traditional single-pickup P-Bass.

What Sets the PJ Configuration Apart

Unlike a standard P-Bass with one pickup, this bass layers a ceramic split single-coil Precision Bass neck pickup with a ceramic single-coil Jazz Bass bridge pickup. Two dedicated volume knobs blend the meaty P-Bass voice with brighter J-Bass character, while a master tone knob shapes both pickups at once.

Poplar Body and Slim Neck — Comfortable for Long Sessions

The poplar body stays light on the shoulder and balanced on a strap, making it practical for younger players and extended practice. Gloss polyurethane finish protects the wood and gives the Lake Placid Blue paint its deep sheen.

• Poplar material serves as a light, resonant tonewood that keeps the instrument comfortable during long rehearsals.
• Body Finish: Gloss Polyurethane — durable polished surface.
• Bolt-on neck construction — classic Fender joinery for familiar attack.

Maple Neck, Indian Laurel Fingerboard — Fast, Familiar Feel

A bolt-on maple neck carved into a slim "C" profile sits comfortably in the fretting hand, supporting open-position root notes and upper-register lead lines. The Indian Laurel fingerboard carries 20 medium-jumbo frets across a 9.5" (241 mm) radius.

• Neck Material: Maple — bright, snappy response.
• Fingerboard Material: Indian Laurel — smooth playing surface with darker visual contrast.
• Scale Length: 864 mm (34") — long-scale tension for classic P-Bass growl.

PJ Pickups and Passive Circuit — Tonal Range Without Complexity

The PJ pickup configuration is the heart of this instrument's tonal range. A ceramic split single-coil in the neck produces the thick P-Bass voice heard on countless rock, Motown, and reggae records, while the ceramic single-coil Jazz Bass pickup at the bridge adds brighter top-end for slap, funk, and punk.

• Neck pickup is a Ceramic Split Single-Coil, which provides a fat, full low-end with classic P-Bass thump.
• Bridge Pickup: Ceramic Single-Coil (J-Bass) — brighter, snappier character.
• Controls: Volume 1 (Neck), Volume 2 (Bridge), Master Tone — passive layout.
• Nickel Plated Steel (.045–.105) strings — factory setup ready for rock, pop, and funk.

Beginners, Students, and Gigging Bassists on a Budget

Fender Squier Affinity Series Precision Bass PJ is the right choice for first-time bass buyers, music students, and returning players who want a real Fender-style instrument without flagship pricing. A thin body and slim "C" neck make it approachable for younger or smaller players, while the PJ pickup layout covers rock, pop, funk, reggae, and jazz.
