Samplers

Samplers are creative musical instruments that open the door to recording, editing and playing back sound samples. They have established a firm place in electronic music, hip-hop and modern studio production. In these settings, they offer almost unlimited possibilities for working with sound. With a high-quality sampler, you can easily create unique rhythms, melodies and sound effects that would be very difficult to produce using traditional instruments.

Their controls are designed for maximum intuitiveness and speed, which you will appreciate both in the studio and on stage. These instruments are ideal for experimenting with sounds that you can easily assemble into original musical compositions. To expand your creative arsenal, explore other categories of musical instruments and accessories as well. The right combination of devices will take your production to the next level and enhance your playing experience.

Choosing a sampler by sample workflow

Fast recording and responsive pads are sufficient for creating drum phrases, while more complex production requires more tracks, greater memory capacity and precise editing of the start, end and loop points. Check the supported file format, maximum sample length and transfer method via USB, card or internal storage.

• Polyphony determines how many voices can sound simultaneously without being cut off unexpectedly.
• Compare sequencers by the number of tracks, pattern length and parameter automation options.
• Audio inputs are important for direct sampling, while separate outputs allow further processing in the mix.
• MIDI clock and synchronisation keep the sampler in time with a groovebox or computer.
