A fog machine disperses fluid intended for the specific device and creates an effect that can highlight light beams on stage or during another stage programme. Models differ in the quantity and character of their output, warm-up time and control method. When choosing, consider the size of the space, the desired effect and the venue operator's instructions. Use only fluid approved by the manufacturer.

A denser short burst and a finer continuous haze do not produce the same result. Check the product details to see what type of effect the device creates, how its output is controlled and how long it needs between bursts. Do not estimate performance solely from tank capacity.

Controls may be located directly on the device, provided through a remote control or integrated into a controlled setup; always follow the equipment specified for the particular model. If you want to time the effect with the lights, check the supported control method and required accessories.

Before use, check the venue conditions, ventilation and the operator's rules. Fog may affect detectors and may not be suitable for every venue or visitor. Set safety distances, filling and cleaning procedures according to the manufacturer's instructions.
