Mini XLR Connectors
Mini XLR connectors are smaller versions of classic XLR connectors. They are used where space is limited, especially with microphones, wireless transmitters and smaller audio devices. They differ in pin count and design, so when choosing, check whether you need a plug or socket, a cable or panel-mount version, and how many pins your device has.
3-pin or 4-pin?
| Designation | What to check |
|---|---|
| 3-pin (for example Rean RT3FC, RT3MP) | The pin layout must match your device exactly |
| 4-pin (for example Rean RT4FC) | The pin count and wiring method specified by the device manufacturer |
What to check before buying
First, identify the exact type of connector on your device, preferably from the manual, and compare it with the product description. For cable versions, check the cable diameter and soldering method; for a socket mounted on the device, check the dimensions and mounting method. If you need a classic connector for a microphone or mixing console, take a look at XLR connectors; for standard headphones and mobile devices, see 3.5 mm JACK connectors.
You’ll find other types and accessories in the connectors category, where they are grouped by use.
