Cubase Artist 16 Upgrade from Elements 12-15

The Steinberg Cubase Artist 16 UG from Elem 12-15 is a download upgrade license that takes a registered Cubase Elements 12, 13, 14 or 15 owner straight to the full Cubase Artist 16 production environment. The license is delivered by email, activated online and stays valid in perpetuity, so the upgrade is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription. Three simultaneous activations let the same user run the software on a studio computer, a laptop and a backup machine at the same time.

What the Artist 16 Upgrade Adds

Moving up from Elements unlocks unlimited tracks, Instrument Stacks with a filter per layer, the DrumChain multi-effect and the streamlined VocalTouch vocal processing. The Key Editor gains strum and stretch gestures with accelerando and ritardando, plus on-note lyric display, and over 200 FM presets built on the HALion Sonic engine open up a wider sound palette for sketching and arranging.

Who This Upgrade Is For

The Cubase Artist 16 UG from Elem 12-15 is built for home producers, songwriters and project-studio engineers who already work inside Cubase Elements 12-15 and want a meaningful step up in capability. It suits creators who need unlimited tracks, deeper editing tools and a richer instrument library for full productions, mixes and media work. Anyone running macOS 15 or Windows 10 (64-bit) with at least 16 GB of RAM and 89 GB of free disk space will find the system requirements easy to meet on most modern computers, and an internet connection is required for installation and activation.
